The Corsair town occupies a privileged position in Brittany. Located at the northern tip of Ille-et-Vilaine, on the edge of Normandy and just a stone's throw from Mont Saint-Michel, Saint-Malo is also a springboard to the Channel Islands and England. A place of history and legends, the birthplace of illustrious characters, the town has managed, despite some dark times, to retain an authenticity conferred by its ramparts, cobblestones, and old stones. Proud of its rich past, this renowned seaside resort remains a modern city resolutely turned towards the future...and for the time being, towards the promotion of metabolomics and fluxomics. A satellite day ahead of the congress (June 3, 2024) will be devoted to workshops and round tables.
This sixteenth edition will once again provide an opportunity to meet and exchange ideas within our flourishing community, with several plenary lectures by internationally renowned researchers, oral presentations, Flash 180 sec communications, thematic sessions, and poster sessions. As has become customary over the past few meetings, oral presentation slots will also be dedicated to showcasing the work of young researchers in the field. This will also be an opportunity to highlight the winner of the 2024 thesis prize and the new RFMF honorary members appointed in 2024, who will be pleased to present a summary of their research.
The following speakers will honor us with their presence and presentation:
- IVANISEVIC Julijana, Head of Metabolomics Platform, Faculty of biology and medicine, Univ. de Lausanne
- YANES Oscar, CIBERDEM-IISPV Metabolomics Platform & Department of Electronic Engineering, Univ. Rovira i Virgili
- ANTONIO Carla, Forest Research Centre (CEF), School of Agriculture Univ. Lisbon (ISA/ULisbon)
- VERHEGGEN François, Chemical and Behavioral Ecology , Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech - Univ. of Liege
- PRADO Soizic, Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle, Unité "Molécules de Communication et Adaptation des
Microorganismes" UMR 7245 MNHN/CNRS
Presentation sessions will be organized around the following themes:
- Metabolomics, Fluxomics, and Health Sciences
- Instrumental development, processing, analysis, and data science
- Metabolomics, Fluxomics and AgroSciences
- Metabolomics, Fluxomics, and Environmental Sciences
- Metabolomics, Fluxomics and Marine Sciences
A red thread is proposed around the position of Metabolomics and Fluxomics in sustainable development and the implementation of transitions (ecological, societal, energy, digital, etc.).
